Global Gaming Labs Live BlackJack Review
GGL or Global Gaming Labs is a fairly unknown live casino software provider with studios located in Costa Rica. They provide services to around 65 casino operators many of whom are accepting players from the United States. One such operator is BetOnline – our recommendation for live blackjack players located in the US.
Truth be told, GGL currently provides the best live dealer games in the US market and, in our subjective opinion, it’s not even close. Others that are in the market, such as VIVO Gaming, are fairly far behind. This company provides something of similar quality to Evolution Gaming and NetEnt, the big players in this space.
Not only is GGL providing a great playing solution visually, but also in terms of the house edge. Their product is more player friendly than any other one we have stumbled into. The house edge, given that you follow basic strategy, is 0.42%.
Some of the drawing rules that are worth mentioning include being able to double down on any two cards and doubling after a split. You cannot hit split aces though (the only variation offering this is available at MicroGaming powered casinos) and there is a surrender option.
Side Bets & Features
Side bets are not offered at any of GGL live blackjack tables, but you do get the ability to tip the dealers, which isn’t something we have seen at many other providers.
If you love betting on the “sides”, we can suggest the product of Evolution Gaming, which has 21+3 and perfect pairs side bets offered. Though, US players cannot play and we don’t recall seeing any providers in this market offering side bets.
Stream Quality & Playing Interface
This is where Global Gaming Labs really impressed us. With all due respect to the company, they are relatively small and not as well known as NetEnt, MicroGaming or Evolution. Having that said, the product of theirs is up to par with all three aforementioned ones, even superior in some aspects.
Video stream is really clear and the playing panel allows you to make decisions early on, thus speeding the game-play up greatly.
Dealers are extremely professional and even though they are all from Costa Rica or other Latin American countries nearby, the English spoken by them has always been fluent in our experience.
If you are looking for high stakes blackjack, as a United States resident, GGL will probably be the best option. They work closely with BetOnline Casino and that’s where you can bet up to $5k per hand and play multiple ones too! Doubling is allowed too, so you can get it up to $10k.
Currently there’s no mobile solution for live dealer games, but some players have reported being able to play from Android powered tablet computers. We’ll keep you updated should this change in near future.
Casinos Offering It
BetOnline is the best GGL powered live casino and our premiere recommendation for all US players out there. They are well known as a great sports betting site with fast withdrawals in the often troubled market. On the side you’ll also find poker, race book, and an awesome live dealer section.
Wager up to $5k per hand and choose from more than a dozen tables that are available 24/7. New players get a $25 risk free bet in the live dealer casino too!
