Visionary iGaming Live BlackJack Review
VIG, as the company is often referred to, is the only live casino provider offering early payout blackjack, which has been gaining some traction as of late. The company works with both US facing casinos and those that restrict this territory, which we find a little bit interesting.
The quality of their offerings is a little bit questionable though. While the dealers are beautiful, professional and all that, the software and playing interface is miles behind what providers like Evolution Gaming or Global Gaming Labs offer.
Their main selling point is offering an unseen product, the early payout variation, in a market where there’s not a lot of choice due to legal drawbacks.
When compared to other games, VIG’s live blackjack seems to be the worst in terms of house advantage. You’ll be an underdog at 0.67% and that is significantly more than when playing any other games, except Vivo Gaming’s one, which is 0.60%.
Seems like the relatively big difference comes from dealer hitting soft 17 and not being able to re-split, surrender or hit on split aces.
Of course, the possibility to get an early payout might offset any of the above. It’s essentially a chance to avoid big risks in situations when the dealer has a high card and You have a high point score.
Side Bets & Features
The two most popular side bets in blackjack are present at tables operated by Visionary iGaming. You’ll get a chance to bet on perfect pairs or the so called 21+3. Let us explain each of these in more detail.
This is a common side bet with pretty high payouts, but also high house edge. To win, You’ll need to get a paired hand dealt, such as 7-7. There are additional bonus payouts for it being of the same colour or the same suit. Payout ratios are listed below:
- Any pair – paid at 6 to 1.
- Suited Pair – paid at 12 to 1.
- Perfect Pair – paid at 25 to 1.
Nice addition from VIG is the ability to wager on either Your own hand or that of the dealer.
Awesome side bet that was first rolled out by Evolution Gaming, but it seems like many have now adopted it too. We love it simply because of the potential to earn a 100 to 1 payout. You will find qualifying card combinations and payouts below. Note that Your first two cards are in play, plus first one dealt to the dealer. Only the amount staked on side bet qualifies for a payout.
- Matching Trips – 100 to 1
- Straight Flush – 40 to 1
- Three Of a Kind – 30 to 1
- Straight – 10 to 1
- Flush – 5 to 1
These payouts do look inviting, but side bets in blackjack always have the highest house edge of all possible wagers. The ones listed above have a house advantage of 4 to 5%, depending on the casino You play at and the specific payouts they have set.
The quality of VIG’s stream is lower than that of Evolution, MicroGaming or NetEnt, but could be comparable to another US facing live casino provider – Ezugi. We are not saying that it’s bad, but given that it’s 2016, it could definitely be improved.
We would also prefer to see the dealer full screen, rather than just in a small square in front of us. If we would get these two things improved, the company would be more competitive.
The early payout and regular live blackjack can both be played on all iPad tablets. It doesn’t seem like any other mobile or tablet devices are currently supported though.
Casinos Offering It
We endorse two online casinos utilizing VIG software – Rich Casino for players in the US and Celtic Casino for those outside. Both of these are quick to process payouts and fairly generous when it comes to bonuses.
New players at Celtic Casino can get 50% cash-back up to $100 on their first week of playing, followed by a 25% match bonus up to $1,000 in value.
We have a special deal at Rich Casino for all new players – $50 free-chip usable for live blackjack games. No deposit is required and You simply need to open an account by using our site.
